Bravas mine silver at Spanish Championships

27 NOVEMBER 2017

Bravas Ultimate showed their depth as a club by bringing solid A and B teams to the recent Campeonato de España. The coed beach tournament was held in Castelldefels, giving Bravas the advantage of playing in the familiar surroundings of their training grounds. The A and B teams, playing in the 1st and 2nd divisions, respectively, both moved past their group stages without a loss. The A team's knockout phase was highlighted by a one-point derby win over the increasingly dangerous Sharks. The B team managed a win over a hard-fighting Barbaros team, playing even with the Alicantinos through most of the game before sealing it with a final surge at the end. With this win, Bravas B attained their first goal of finishing as one of the top two teams, thereby gaining ascension to the 1st division!

Finally, though, both teams were kept from the top of the podium settling for second place. Bravas A was beaten by Corocotta in the championship 1st division finals while Bravas B fell to Fendisc in the determining game. Well deserved victories by the winninig teams, both hailing from Santader. Meanwhile, Bravas look forward to the 2018 campaign in an effort to claim that top spot for themselves in one or more championships to come.
