Who we are and what we do
Bravas was founded in 1998 as the first Spanish Ultimate Frisbee club. The club has grown and currently we are made up of more than 60 players of different ages and nationalities. We compete in these different categories: Men's, Women's and Mixed, both on the beach and on grass. We are one of the few Spanish teams that have various championship trophies in all categories of beach and in the Open category on grass.
During the Spring, we participate in these official tournaments: Nationals, Regionals, Lliga Catalana and European Championships, when we qualify. We also play in unofficial tournaments both in Spain and abroad.
Many Bravas are or have been part of the Spanish national team and have competed at European and World Championships, which brings a lot of experience to the whole team.
We train every Sunday on Castelldefels beach, as well as one day during the week at Serrahima grass field. In addition, according to our objectives, we also get together to workout, especially in preparation for specific tournaments.
To help finance club activities, we organise three annual tournaments on Castelldefels beach: PORRÓN OPEN, CREMAS BEACH CHALLENGE and BEACH MASTER BARCELONA. Around 120-200 players from all over Europe participate in these tournaments. We organise these events and provide water, food and services.
Since there are many of us, we organise ourselves into committees. Here are some of the assigned responsibilities: Management Committee, Sports Committee, Group of Coaches, Treasure, Tournamet coordinator, Primary Contact for club inquiries, Community Manager, etc
NEW: We now have a children's division (9-12 years old) that trains on Sundays at 10am on Castelldefels beach.
