Cremas and Bravas Open bring the heat to Pajarita Ice

26 ENERO 2015

Under the snowy hills of Huesca, single-digit temperatures did nothing to cool down the Bravas women and open teams. Winning both the tournament and the spirit award the Cremas start 2015 continuing the success they found in 2014, which culminated in their crowning as national champs in the women's beach division. In fact this makes three consecutive tournaments where the women have brought home
1st-place hardware without losing a game. Equally proud of showing their passion and respect for the
game by capturing the spirit prize this weekend, the Cremas are more focused then ever on furthering
their growth, looking this year to increase the level of competition in the international arena.

The Bravas men found success at Pajarita Ice as well, finishing second in the 12-team open
division. After fighting their way to a top finish in the group stage on Saturday, the "Bravos" came
out Sunday with the intensity and discipline needed for a well-deserved semifinals win, served well
by a zone defense that was continually improving throughout the weekend. The Bravos came out string
against the Quijotes in the finals, but the Madrid side quickly closed the gap making some
smart adjustments on defense enabling them to keep enough of an advantage to win the top spot. Still
the men return happy to add more evidence to Don Manuel's trophy case that things are moving in the
right direction.
